(best craigslist farm and garden so far this year- kathy)
Finally the day has come that I have actually placed an ad, right here on Craigslist, for this truly “ewe-nique” sheep. I've been saying I am going to place this ad for about a year and a half but fortunately, for both myself and you, the reader, that day has finally arrived.
Angelica was purchased as a East Friesian mix but what she is mixed with is anyone's guess. She's two, white and very friendly. She loves people. And she loves food. Not necessarily in that order. She knows her name and will come when called... better than a lot of people's dogs. Including some of mine.
Here are some other qualities that you, the potential owner, need to know about this divine animal.
Motherhood: It's really not her thing. That small pesty “Mini Me” thing following her around definitely does not belong to her and she's pretty sure it's up to no good. Better keep it's distance from her too or she's going to butt it into next Thursday. She also throws contracted tendons. Fortunately for her, she did not take this year. (I think she did that on purpose.)
Intelligence: Angelica is on one side of the intelligence curve. We are undecided as to which one. You will be too.
Gardener: Of course she mows lawns. She's self propelled and even fertilizes. Even better, need some help pruning your garden? Angelica can help! She has done an incredible job with my peas, raspberries and strawberries. Give her a chance in your garden!
Musical Talents and Abilities: Blessed with a voice only a mother could tolerate, Angelica isn't just a one trick sheep. She plays percussion too! Once locked out of the barn, she will impress you with her take on old Hollywood's “Zombie Behind a Locked Door” act. Hair raising sounds emanate from behind the door, complete with pounding on the door with near perfect timing! Amaze your family and friends! Rent her out to parties or low budget zombie film production companies! The possibilities are endless! (So is the pounding on the door... at least until you feed her again.)
Expert Knotsewe. Just one attempt at tethering this young lady will give her the opportunity to display her incredible knot-making abilities. Knots only known to God and Angelica will flow from this largely untapped talent and they usually involve at least one leg. Sometimes more.
Proven Dogsheep. Yes, I meant to write it that way. This girl has been known to herd our collie from the pasture right up to the corner of our porch and kept him cornered until we arrived to rescue him. Once uncornered, she herded him right back to the pasture. They've made movies about pigs that herd sheep... why not score big with the next children's blockbuster... A sheep that herds dogs!
So here are my terms... I will entertain all offers between $50 - $1000 depending on what you think this multi-talented young sheep is really worth. Take her home, make her a pet, let her meat her maker (pun intended) or write a book about her akin to Marley and Me and make a fortune. (In which case the $1000 seems more fair to me).
If this sounds like the sheep for you, drop me an email!
Great! :)
